Judge joins Akerman Senterfitt's Miami office
Judge Gerald B. Cope Jr. is joining Akerman Senterfitt's Miami office as a shareholder and co-chair of the firm's appellate practice. Since 1988, Cope has served on Florida's Third District Court of Appeal; he was chief judge from 2005-2007. Cope will co-chair the firm's appellate practice with Joseph Hatchett, former Florida Supreme Court justice and former chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
