Henry Bailey telling Mr. Potter he's "just a scurvy little spider" ("It's A Wonderful Life," 1946)
DAVID SHOAR and JOEL BOLANTE, center
The late President Ronald Wilson Reagan White House Chief of Staff, U.S. Senate Republican Leader, Crooked Coal Landowner and All-around Tennessee Tortfeasor HOWARD HENRY BAKER, JR. tried to inspire an African-American to run for President in 1972 to pull support from the Democratic nominee.
I predict: Sheriff DAVID BERNARD SHOAR will try to inspire former UnderSheriff JOEL BOLANTE, a Filipino-American, to run for Sheriff, to try to pull support from Debra Maynard, a woman running for Sheriff.
Former UnderSheriff JOEL BOLANTE is too smart for that, but insiders say the plan is already being hatched: SHOAR will pull out at the last minute and support BOLANTE.
We, The People, know their tactics and expect their tricks.
And Sheriff DAVID BERNARD SHOAR is "just a scurvy little spider."
After all, as JFK said, "Politics is a business of knives."
