St. Johns County officials are avoiding and evading answers to budget questions and document requests. They're showing contempt for democracy. St. Johns County Administrator MICHAEL DAVID WANCHICK and political boss, Sheriff DAVID BERNARD SHOAR, f/k/a "HOAR" have refused to answer budget questions and provide documents, in violation of the Truth in Millage Act. SHOAR showed his disrespect by breaking hs written promise to St. Johns County Commission Chairman, JAMES KENNETH JOHNS, to appear and answer questions at the August 8, 2017 Budget workshop. Wonder why?

Watching five Republican County Commissioners get blown off, ignored and disrespected by Sheriff SHOAR on Budget oversight is like watching a duck try to make love to a football. Or watching an old tomcat play around with young mice.
Pitiful. Tonight, at 5:01 PM, come speak out in favor of transparency, accountability and police body cameras.
Don't let Commission Chairman JAMES KENNETH JOHNS interrupt or disrespect you. Like any good diplomats, we won't take "NO" as if it were an answer. I've shared with The New York Times the video of JOHNS interrupting me at the August 8, 2017 budget workshop. Watch it here!
