Head-butting Democracy -- U.S. Rep. JOHN LUIGI MICA Strikes Another Blow Against Democracy, Human Rights, Liberty and Justice

Our Congressman JOHN LUIGI MICA head-butt an ABC news cameraman asking about his partying with lobbyists and ex-Rep. TOM DELAY. See below.

Our Congressman JOHN LUIGI MICA head-butt all good and decent people everywhere with his vote against expanding federal hate crimes laws to protect women, the disabled and Gay and Lesbian people.

By his vote, Congressman JOHN LUIGI MICA made a play for the KKK vote and showed that he is out of step even with three conservative Republican Congressmen from South Florida, who put principle ahead of party and supported the Local Law Enforcement anti-hate crimes law, H.R. 1913.

Our other-direted Congressman JOHN LUIGI MICA has a long homophobic past. He was Chief of Staff to one-term U.S. Senator PAULA HAWKINS (R. Fl). who championed anti-Gay causes. So will the St. Augustine WRecKord report on it? Write an editorial criticizing MICA for bigotry? Or cover up (once again) for our reprobate in Congress, JOHN LUIGI MICA?

MICA won't even discuss the proposed St. Augustine National Historical Park, National Seashore and National Scenic Coastal Highway. If a proposal doesn't benefit bigots, bashers, monopolists (or his campaign contributors), he is just not interested. His vote on H.R. 1913 is a sharp stick in the eye to everyone who believes in brotherhood. His saluting the flag and purporting to support "liberty and justice for all" is, at best, facetious -- to call him a hypocrite would be to damn with faint praise.

Time for MICA to go.

What do you reckon?
