MISPLACED PRIORITIES AT MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS ST. AUGUSTINE RECORD REQUIRE JOURNALISTIC SCRUTINY

This morning's St. Augustine Record bears a front page headline and photo,
"The Players Championship welcomes Bush." See below.

This same MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS newspaper could not bring itself to have any story anywhere in the entire newspaper when St. Johns Countian Faye Armitage won the Democratic Primary with 72% of the vote. There were stories on every single other primary race.

This same MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS newspaper could not bring itself to publish a front page headline and photo on November 5, 2008, after Barack Obama was elected President.

To say that MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS and The St. Augustine Record are run by "Republicans" is to damn with faint praise. These aren't your grandfather's Republicans. These aren't Lincoln's Republicans.

They are dull Republicans-- as lugubrious a bunch of goobers as ever made a chair squeak. Color them colorless, tasteless and stinky -- .

The news value of George Herbert Walker Bush's visit to St. Johns County is nonexistent. Having dissed President Obama on actual news (his historic election), MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS once again shows St. Johns Countians the low quality of its news judgement -- the reason St. Johns Countians call it "the mullet wrapper."
