Under new management, our City of St. Augustine is wisely seeking millions of dollars federal grants, including grants for our seawall and improving Avenida de Mendendez.
Under a prior City Manager, our City of St. Augustine did not seek federal grants because it meant scrutiny and accountability.
Bring on the grants and bring on the scrutiny -- it's our money.
Federal grants promise to help solve quite a number of problems, from lack of city water and sewer in West Augustine to flooding on the Bayfront.
At long last, it's wonderful to have a City Manager who cares -- after only thirteen months in office, John Regan has shown himself to be an excellent leader, someone who does his homework, has a photographic memory, takes pride in our City's history (including our Civil Rights history) and (most importantly) listens to the people. Thank you, Mr. Regan, for a job well done.
