Check out "Who Stole the Water -- How greed, drought, and rampant overdevelopment are sucking Texas dry." by Paul Solataroff (Men's Journal, July 2014)

Florida must be vigilant. Greedy water wastrels are being empowered by the St. Johns River Water Management District, which in turn is being run by Governor RICHARD SCOTT. We need more SJRWMD leaders like UF Law Professor Richard Hamann and fewer corporativists.
We need for the University of Florida Levin College of Law to train environmental leaders who will stand up to water theft and polluters. UF has the talent, but it is misdirected in helping SJRWMD, rather than in being an advocate for change. Sadly, UF is "in the tank" with polluters, graduating J.D. and LL.M. candidates who go to work for them. They would do well to learn from and imitate law schools in other states that train environmental lawyers worthy of the name, people who learn in law school how to sue polluters, from Louisiana oil companies to the U.S. Tennessee Valley Authority.
Since 2010, I have applied five times to UF's Environmental and Land Use Law (ELUPL) program at its Levin College of Law. No interview. No in-person meeting.
I have filed an age and disability discrimination complaint with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights, for as Thomas Jefferson said, "I have sworn upon the Altar of Almighty God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind" of humankind.
UF, please respond below.
