In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

Nation's Oldest City Deserves Nation's Newest Park
To preserve endangered species (including critters like sea turtles and the Anastasia Island Beach Mouse, as well as struggling St. Augustine small businesses), our Nation's Oldest City deserves the newest National Park.
Working with the University of Florida and and the National Park Service, we can do it.
It's promising that the City and UF are planning to meet with NPS tomorrow. The next meeting must be in public, in the Sunshine.
Let's invite UF to come here, meeting with NPS in public, instead of having another closed door meeting, something the City of St. Augustine must stop now.
