Those developer-coddling, retaliatory, discriminatory mendacious managers who put a landfill in a lake and never got prosecuted, awards no-bid conracts, tried to outsource the entire 450th celebration to a secretive foundation run by an UPCHURCH BAILEY AND UPCHURCH partner, DONALD WALLIS, expressly to avoid Sunshine and Open Records requests.
With furrowed brows, Messrs. FLEMING and BURCHFIELD openly, notoriously and publicly colluded this afternoon about my Title VI complaint to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They were in the loggia, outside the Alcazar Room on the First Floor of St. Augustine City Hall, complaining about my complaint, noting that the City's exclusionary conference was about ocean level rise, and that I filed an Environmental Justice complaint. Others in the courtyard could hear them.
I arrived and asked if they wanted to talk about my Title VI complaint.
The pair were as nervous as a proverbial "whore in church."
More afraid than a colloquial "long tailed cat in roomful of rocking chairs."
Guiltier than a DONALD JOHN TRUMP son, in-law or appointee faced with a subpoena.
Sweating bullets, wondering how long I had been listening to them.
They both immediately ran away, like cockroaches in a Manhattan apartment when you turn the lights on.
They partied like the Red Sea.
The pair of unjust stewards moved faster than I have ever seen them move since 2005 -- faster than former Vice Mayor "ODD TODD" NEVILLE after ingesting his usual two cans of Red Bull at a Commission meeting.
(When I say "hello" to the two tedious tortfeasors at St. Augustine City Hall, they look the other way, as if saying "hello" would somehow diminish their macho-crotcho notion of masculinity as members of the Booboisee in City Hall in St. Augustine, long dominated by segregationists and KKK. As J. Danforth Quayle would say, "I wear their scorn as a badge of honor.")
Rev. TIMOTHY FLEMING, the City's Title VI Coordinator, fled first, fleeing south along the loggia.
TIMOTHY J. BURCHFIELD, the City's Assistant City Manager, fled next, fleeing north along the loggia.
I had texted FLEMING at 4:06pm, and earlier, asking to speak with him about my Title VI complaint. He said he did not have to talk to me.
BURCHFIELD reiterated that FLEMING did not have to talk to me, snippily said I could "file an Open Records request," and called me "boy."
I told BURCHFIELD, "Don't call me 'boy,' boy.
BURCHFIELD yelled, "You are a 'boy."
BURCHFIELD, running away toward the elevator bank, invited me to "hit" him.
I told him, "I can just feel the love."
This was all in the presence of a duly sworn officer of the St. Augustine Police Department, who was as bemused as me at the behavior of two putative "professionals" in response to my protected activity under the First and Ninth Amendments and Civil Rights Act of 1964.
That law, the 1964 Civil Rights Act, became law because of the crazy white people in St. Augustine, people like BURCHFIELD's kinfolk.
Reactionary racists beat up Rev. Andrew Young, later our United Nations Ambassador.
On June 11, 1965, reactionary racists arrested Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who called St. Augustine the "most lawless city in America."
On June 18, 1965, Rabbis Israel "Sy" Dressner and fifteen other rabbis were arrested praying at th front of the Monson Motel, the largest mass arrest of rabbis in American history.
BURCHFIELD bears partial responsibility for dumping a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), a crime for which City Manager WILLIAM BARRY HARRIS and his feckless thugs escaped criminal prosecution.
BURCHFIELD filed a false and perjurious affidavit in the case of Dr. Dwight Hines, Ph.D. v. City of St. Augustine, falsely claiming that there were no documents on the truck transportation involved in that case. Without ever reading the complaint, Commissioners JOSEPH LESTER BOLES, JR. and SUSAN BURK wanted to make Dr. Hines "Pay the piper," demanding attorney fees be sought for his frivolous lawsuit. The City hired UPCHURCH BAILEY AND UPCHURCH partner SIDNEY FRANK>YN ANSBACHER to defend it -- his investigation found that there were 45 pounds of documents, plus computer records, responsive to Dr. Hines' requests. Dr. Hines won.
And BURCHFIELD continues to grease a chair in City Hall, while his mentor, WILLIAM BARRY HARRISS, draws a pension of some $108,000/year from th itty-bitty spiteful City.
Meanwhile, sanctimonious REV. TIMOTHY FLEMING is often called upon to perform the sanctimonious prayer before City Commission meetings. Should I sign up to do it, too?
