Irony update. The dinner is called the "Fundraising Founders Dinner," with VIP party begninning at 4:30 pm at Sawgrass Marriott. Our actual Founders warned us against demagogues like DONALD JOHN TRUMP and his ilk, including peeople like KARI LAKE. As Alexander Hamilton wrote George Washingtonn in 1792: "When a man unprincipled in private life desperate in his fortune, bold in his temper, possessed of considerable talents, having the advantage of military habits—despotic in his ordinary demeanour—known to have scoffed in private at the principles of liberty—when such a man is seen to mount the hobby horse of popularity—to join in the cry of danger to liberty—to take every opportunity of embarrassing the General Government & bringing it under suspicion—to flatter and fall in with all the non sense of the zealots of the day—It may justly be suspected that his object is to throw things into confusion that he may “ride the storm and direct the whirlwind.” From this blog, August 12, 2023:

St. Johns County Republican Executive Committee welcomes Kari Lake and U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds to the Annual Fundraising Founder’s Dinner, Sept. 9.

Save the date for a memorable evening with two outspoken, conservative patriots: former gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Florida Congressman Byron Donalds. Saturday, September. 9, Floridians are invited to join Kari and Byron at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach. Come hear the highlights of Kari’s journey and her fight for election integrity. Kari became a symbol of truth in journalism during her 27-year career as a TV news reporter. In 2022, She ran a fearless campaign for Governor of Arizona with the endorsement of President Trump.

U.S. Congressman Byron Donalds, representing Florida’s 19th district, is a rising star in the Republican party. He was recently in the national spotlight for his comments on the state’s school curriculum. Days later, he had a sit-down interview with President Trump.

A third featured speaker joins us from St. Johns County. District 4 Commissioner and Gold Star mom Krista Joseph lived in Arizona when Kari first appeared on Arizona’s airwaves. Krista’s top priority is to slow down the rampant development of the fastest growing county in the state.

Republican Executive Committee Chair Blake Paterson, MD, invites fellow patriots to bring their appetite for great food and lively dialogue about the issues that matter most to Americans.

VIP guests will arrive at the Sawgrass Marriott at 4:30 PM for dinner, a photo with Kari and Byron, and a signed book. All other guests will arrive at 6 PM to savor a tasty selection of hors d’oeuvres while enjoying an evening of great speakers.
