NOTICE OF APPLICANTS FOR APPOINTMENT
AND INTERVIEW SCHEDULE
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Governor Ron DeSantis has requested that the Seventh Circuit
Judicial Nominating Commission convene for the purpose of selecting and submitting a list of
highly qualified lawyers for appointment to the St. Johns County Court and the Seventh Judicial
Circuit Court. The Seventh Judicial Circuit includes Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia
counties. These appointments shall fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Stasia
Warren and the elevation of Judge Lauren Blocker. The Commission published a notice of
vacancy and received fifteen (15) applications. Accordingly, the Commission shall convene and
interview the applicants as follows:

Applicants that interviewed before the Commission in 2025 may elect to appear by zoom or in
person for a supplemental interview; no negative inference shall be made by the Commission
should an applicant elect not to appear for a supplemental interview.

the qualifications of any applicant for judicial appointment. All written correspondence regarding
an applicant should be sent by email to the Chair, Travis Mydock, at tmydock@mydocklaw.com,
by no later than 12:00 pm on July 10, 2025. The Chair will disseminate all information to the
Commission. An applicant in need of guidance should direct inquires to the Chair by email.
All proceedings of the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission are open to the public,
