In July 2025, JUNYAO "JOY" ANDREWS, our estimable St. Johns County Administrator, who earned a law degree from Nanking University in Communist China, and developer lawyer ZACHARY WATSON MILLER, who earned his law degree in Boston, called citizens attending our County meetings "the audience,"
How gauche and louche.
How utterly undemocratic.
No, Ms. ANDREWS.
No, Mr. MILLER.
We, the People are not "the audience."
We are not spectators.
Democracy is not a spectator sport.

At least she admitted that it was all w big show. Where policy is really made is at their houses and at private parties. You don't have any say so once it becomes public at the meetings. And they probably don't give the details.
Just another sign of slow moving authoritarianism in the USA. Separation of powers arguments as excuses not to do checks and balances, partisan and cultural issues muddying the waters, playing hot potato with people's rights, in general just dereliction of duty on every level. Government by the people but not for the people.
Junyao Yo-yo cover blown as Chinese intelligence agent? Need to go back to Beijing and take a class on norms in a democratic Republic. Then perhaps come back later and maintain some semblance of cover.
What was the context of these two loser lawyers calling residents "the audience?" I expect it of Andrews who doesn't have a very good command of the English language, but I would have thought Miller to be slick enough to put on a better show than that. He really should get out more... spends too much time online to know what's going on in the real world.
ZACHARY WATSON MILLER made that unfortunate unctuous remark in his presentation to the Special Magistrate, retired Circuit Court Judge J. Michael Traynor, during the July 25, 2025 hearing under F.S. 70.51 appealing from St. Johns County Commission's unanimous denial of the Water Lily "Agrihood" proposal to cram some 3330 homes on silviculture land owned by Robinson Improvement Company.
Our Founding Founders began our Nation's history by writing, "We, the People!" To Mr. MILLER and Ms. ANDREWS: we are NOT "we the audience."
Florida, a depraved police state run by people who could care less about the US Constitution or civil rights. We left.
Every single commissioner seated today is a good person the right person for the job. I don't think that gets said enough here.
Oh? So "Pete" changed his mind? Does he admit error?
I never put down one of them to my knowledge. I simply recall disagreeing with a statement that was made. That doesn't necessarily mean I dislike them. Correct me if I'm wrong. I can't recall being unreasonable.
