My late friend and mentor, Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter Nat Caldwell of the Nashville Tennessean was heartbroken when his longtime employer, the Tennessean, was purchased by GANNETT, and with good reason. Nat was right. GANNETT is a crappy newspaper chain, now racing for the bottom. The St. Augustine Record and other local newspapers are being converted into sixth-rate press releases for the rich and powerful under the maladministration of GANNETT. Pray for goofy CANNETT to restore Associated Press coverage, political cartoons and daily Op-Ed pages. Here's their Board of Directors:
