Have you seen the image President TRUMP shared of himself as Pope? What do you reckon?
On May 5, I asked our St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners to pass a resolution condemning bigotry.
Here's my e-mail:
Dear Chair Joseph, Vice Chair Murphy, Commissioners Whitehurst, Arnold and
1. The election of John F. Kennedy as our first Roman Catholic President in 1960 revealed the powerful and sinister forces abusing their power to spread bigotry against Roman Catholics. Please read James Michener's book, Report of the County Chairman (1961) describing his experience as Chairman of the Bucks County, Pennsylvania committee supporting JFK's candidacy.
| | Yes, Trump posted an AI image of himself as pope on Truth SocialLater, the White House X account shared the image. |

|
3. President DONALD JOHN Trump's abuse of White House social media accounts to depict himself as Pope is contemptible, immoral and illegal.
4. Would you please be so kind as to ask our SJC BoCC staff to research today and to give advice by tomorrow afternoon, on a possible "Sense of the County Commission" resolution condemning bigotry?
5. Please include all kinds of bigotry currently being spread in our Nation and world.
6. There has been NO apology.
7. TRUMP thinks this image is funny. .Vice President J.D. Vance has doubled down in defense of TRUMP's anti-Catholic bigotry. There is no "mistake or accident." See Federal Rule of Evidence 404. Use of our White House government funds makes this image an instance of waste, fraud and abuse.
8. Please publicly condemn TRUMP's attacks on our First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth rights and other civil and rights.
9. As Mason said to Dixon, "we've got to draw a line somewhere." What do y'all reckon?
10. Please feel free to call me to discuss today.
Thank you.
With kindest regards, I am,Sincerely yours,
