Will we have public comment at the July 11, 2025 meeting of our 7th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission? Waiting on a response to my request for assistance from Ms. Pattricia Gleason, Florida Attorney General Special Counsel for Open Government.

Dear Chair Mydock:
Thank you.
1. Would the 7th Judicial Circuit Nominations Committee (JNC 7) please be so kind as to vote to allow public comment or testimony, as in U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings for Article III federal judgeships? See Florida Constitution, Article I, section 24, adopted by 3.8 million voters (83%) in 1992.
2. Please send me any legal authority for JNC7 denying public comment after judgeship applicants testify. If none exists, please so state. I find no answer to the question in the JNC's uniform rules. Is this a case of first impression?
3. Will you be so kind as to agree to join me in requesting guidance and mediation by Ms. Patricia Gleason, our Florida Attorney General's Special Counsel for Open Government?
Thank you, again, Chair Maydock for your assistance.
With kindest regards, I am,
Sincerely yours,

They MIGHT put out a video of the interviews later... but that's after the deal is done. Even if you got to say anything about it, the deal will be done. Might as well do public comment to make people feel like they have a say...but they don't.
1. In fact, the July 11, 2025 JNC7 Circuit Court candidate interviews will be streamed live on Zoom and will be open to public attendance at the St. Johns County Courthouse.
2. Waiting for answer on public comment, with assistance from Attorney General Special Counsel for Open Government Pat Gleason.
See schedule of July 11, 2025 interviews, with Zoom instructions. This is an open public meeting. https://cleanupcityofstaugustine.blogspot.com/2025/06/watch-7th-circuit-court-judge.html
