During the 1970s, the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Corporate Rwegulation was led by Stanley K. Sporkin, one of the finest public servants in our government (later CIA General Counsel and U.S. District Judge).
Under Judge Sporkin's leadership, SEC exposed how Textron and Bell Helicopter bribed foreign leaders with illicit payments, which were only disclosed to stockholders as a result of Judge Sprokin's indefatible leadership.

Some eight months ago, when I raised the issue of Bell/Textron's bribery history at the Anastasia Mosquito Control Commission of St. Johns County in connection with a no-bid contract, AMCD Chair BARBARA BOSANKO interrupted me and said those were merely "allegations."
AMCD must come clean and discuss what agreements, understandings and relationships past and current Board members and employees have with Textron/Bell Helicopter agents, employees and representatives, why there was no competitive bidding for a $1.8 million helicopter, why there was no flyoff competition, and why you would buy a Donald Trump style helicopter for $700,000 more than it can be purchased on Ebay and why you would buy a helicopter that does not come with any mosquito control equipment, when a brand-new fully equipped Sikorsky ehlicopter for mosquito control helicopter costs only $351,000 (and change).
It's our money. We're still waiting for answers, Ms. BOSANKO, Ms. LINDA WAMPLER, Ms. MARY WILLIS and Ms. EMILY HUMMEL.
What did you know and when did you know it?
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
