13 Days to Congress Redistricting Decision

Circuit Judge Terry Lewis listens to State House staffer Jason Poreda testify about map.

Heroic Leon County Circuit Court Judge Terry Lewis in Tallahassee was given by our Florida Supreme Court's landmark decision only 100 days within which to approve a new Congressional map. Thirteen days left.
Florida's Supreme Court struck down eight of 27 Congressional Districts, especially this truly stinky one (Democratic U.S. Rep. CORINNE BROWN's district, which The St. Augustine Record called "crime against cartography"):

We sincerely hope that St. Johns County is split into two Congressional districts, thereby dashing the hopes of the developer-driven, bigoted right-wing political machine led by Sheriff DAVID BERNERD SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR," now under FBI Corruption Task Force investigation.
This division of the county would provide more voices for voter but less power for political bosses.
The bosses opposed reducing the number of state legislative districts, saying it would reduce clout.
The bosses oppose increasing the number of Congressional districts, saying it would reduce clout.
The bosses think you are stupid, stupid, stupid, and would not know the difference between mud and apple butter.
These MEpublicans would have you ignore the fact that 30 of 67 Florida counties will be split.
In 2002, our Florida legislature enacted a redistricting map with JOHN LUIGI MICA (R-Transportation industry) and CORINNE BROWN having 300 mile long districts. MICA's district stretched from the Duval County line into the Orlando suburbs, three blocks south of MICA's mansion, designed to preserve a Republican distorted district for MICA while creating one for then-Speaker THOMAS FEENEY.
The Florida legislature was already accustomed to gerrymandering for BROWN, as it did in 1992 and in 2012 -- cramming African-Americans into one district to favor BROWN and disfavor real Democrats.
Voters responded to this history of gerrymandering in 2012 by enacting Amendments 4&5.
Florida legislators responded with still more dishonesty,  flummery, dupery and nincompoopery in 2012.  Their sins have found them out -- the Florida Supreme Court's remand decision establishes beyond peradventure what they did.
Yet the bold, aggressive, vicious, rebarbative remnants of the KKK/LAWRENCE O. DAVIS/NEAL PERRY machine would love to duke in one MARKY MINER, SHOAR's boy toy, to a Congressional seat to run interference for developers and other big-shot crooks.
Their only hope is gerrymandering, which they demand, urgently.
Can't wait for MINER to hold a press conference so we can ask him about that airplane hangar at the St. Augustine Airport and what transpired between him and JAMES EDWARD BRYANT, longtime St. Johns County Commission Chairman, another developer thrall.
