My mentor, former USDOL Chief Judge Nahum Litt, and his "Bill of Rights, Inc.," have defeated the City of New Smyrna Beach on an Open Records lawsuit. See below.
Judge Litt inspires me to hold governments accountable, just as my other mentors have done over the years. Will someone need to sue the Administrative Conference of the United States to compel it to open its Council meetings to the public? What do you reckon?
In the immortal words of patriot Patrick Henry in the Virginia House of Burgesses:
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
