Museum Converting to Hotel? Millionaire DAVID BARTON CORNEAL Demands PUD for DOW MUSEUM OF HISTORIC HOMES

DAVID BARTON CORNEAL wants to turn the former Dow Museum of Historic Homes into a hotel. He needs a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to get his way. It should be rejected. I agree that the Planned Unit Development must be rejected, and there must be a moratorium on all future PUDs in St. Augustine. The only good thing that ever came from a PUD is the elevator in the Columbia House Restaurant (which some disabled patrons were incorrectly and illegally told they could not use, a violation of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act. http://cleanupcityofstaugustine.blogspot.com/2014/11/privatization-continues-dow-museum-of.html

He can "demand" all he wants. If the PUD contains adequate parking, then it could fly.

If there is no parking for Corneal's enterprise, then it won't pass muster no matter how much he jumps up and down.

IF he didn't, he and his architect (who is that?) should have gone to CoSA Planning & Building to find out the requirements of multiple B&Ss instead of assuming "it'll all work out."

NOT after the Fornells House disaster. Everyone takes the same, slow steps to get it done correctly. Even Mr. MoneyPants from Philly.

CORNEAL is from State College, PA (Centre County), a corrupt place where the Penn State child rapes took place under PSU coach JOE PATERNO. CORNEAL was an adjunct professor of business law, very poorly rated by his students. Check out the May 7, 2014 City Commission tape at www.cosatv.com -- not a classy guy, and willing to lie. Got $14,000 archaeological fee waived by threatening not to close on 102 Bridge Street, claiming he did not know of the fee (I have image of check he paid for fee for his million dollar mansion on Marine Street). CORNEAL lies. No PUD.
