No definite plans on 450th -- City Hall "Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight."

Last Monday, February 9, 2015, St. Augustine 450th Director DANA STE. CLAIRE and prevaricating pals admitted to Mayor Nancy Shaver and Commissioners that not one (1) act has been booked for our 450th anniversary, on September 8, 2015.
Today, Sunday, February 15, 2015, a guest column in the local newspaper says, "I have been dismayed reading stories in The Record that trace, as today, 'no definite plans for 450th celebration.' Maybe some of the details have been lost in the transition to a new mayor but, in fact, early last year the city reserved some days for special events.
Dates are reserved, yes -- those dates were easy. Booking entertainers takes work. Our City Hall staff is not only ethically challenged, dumping a landfill in a lake and violating First Amendment rights. Our City Hall staff's core competency is hauteur. It can't stand criticism, can't stand questioning, can't seem to do anything right -- it reminds me of Jimmy Breslin's "The Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight.
