COUNCIL ON AGING's ALL-WHITE GUS! MAGAZINE

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called St. Augustine "the most lawless city in America." UN Ambassador Andrew Jackson Young, Jr., Dr. King's aide, said St. Augustine was the only city where the movement's hospital bills exceeded its bail bond bills. African-Americans of a certain age still fear going downtown because black women were raped without consequence.

Located in a palatial building on Marine Street, our St. Johns Council on Aging has a $6,242,958 annual budget, much from government grants, The St. Johns Council on Aging says on its 2014 IRS 990 form that its purpose is to "PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERY PERSON IN ST. JOHNS COUNTY TO ENJOY WELLNESS, LONGENVITY AND QUALITY OF LIFE CHOICES WITHIN A STRONG, HEALTHY COMMUNITY."
COA's longtime president and former executive director are chauvinistic supporters of the architect of the Michelle O'Connell shooting coverup, rebarbative Republican Sheriff DAVID SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR": execrable ex-Mayor JOSEPH LESTER BOLES, Jr. and longtime executive director was CATHY BROWN.
Lovely lifelike oil paintings of BOLES and BROWN adorn COA's conference room. BOLES solicits seniors for their wills, estates and trusts, citing his being COA President.
The latest issue of COA's Gus! magazine, a monthly publication, complete with BOLES' ads, in The St. Augustine Record, contains:
A. A page one photograph of controversial WFOY radio station owner KRIS PHILLIPS, BOLES' unqualified candidate for mayor.
B. A photograph of COA President BOLES.
C. No photos of African-Americans -- not one.
Dozens of photos, but only white people. Is it 1953?
How gauche and louche.
COA also rents space to all-white organizations.
COA may be in violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
COA may be in violation of IRS rules.
Further investigation is required.
Energumen JOE BOLES needs to get off the Board of COA.
He's been president for way too long.
