POLITICS MAKES STRANGE BEDFELLOWS -- BRIBE-TAKING REPUBLICANS, SEX SCANDAL REPUBLICANS -- ARE THERE ANY OTHER KIND?

We've had an interesting political year.

Lobbyist-driven Congressman JOHN MICA head-butted an ABC news cameraman, while spending tens of thousands of dollars of lobbyist-contributor money on "meals with constituents." JOHN MICA, who is Big Oil's best friend in the Florida delegation, is the brother of oil lobbyist DAVID MICA. MICA's condescending campaign consultant, DAVID INNOCENZZ, said we'd forget about the financial crisis on election day if it weren't on the front page because ours is a "microwave society." MICA's consultant INNOCENZI has done millions of dollars of work for the likes of the ROYAL KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA and ENRON> See MICA/Addams family cartoon below.

Bribetaking indicted Republican THOMAS G. MANUEL thought it was cute to try to take over the Anastasia Mosquito Control COmmission of St. Johns County and the Airport Authority too, with threats to take away all of our rights to vote for city commissioners and members of special taxing districts. Last week, MANUEL was indicted and suspended from his job. Busted. See below.

Family values Republican "SKEETER" KEY had an affair with an employee of an elementary school while serving as principal, was run off, and decided to run for School Board, where he would supervise the people who ran him off. Busted.

RANDY BRUNSON thought it was cute to take free campaign headquarters rent from hotelier KANTI PATEL, who often asks favors from government agencies. BRUNSON faces a probable cause hearing before the Florida Elections Commission on November 12th, in which he has five (5) minutes to explain why probable cause should not be found that he has violated election laws. Busted. See below.

Prestigious (sic) Tallahassee DEMOCRATIC lawyer MARK HERRON, who has done little for local Democrats who asked for his help against the Republican machine hereabout in Northeast Florida. HERRON's too big for his britches. He's defending RANDY BRUNSON in his Florida Elections Commission case. HERRON represents the Florida Democratic Party and Democratic National Committee -- it is unseemly for him to be representing any Repubilcans, let alone RANDY BRUNSON. See below.
