Abuses by Two Radical, Republican, Repressive St. Johns County Sheriffs Anticipate Latest Despotic Russian Law Proposed by Putin, KGB Punks

Ex-Commissioner KAREN STERN

Sheriffs DAVID SHOAR and NEAL PERRY

It happened in America in 2005. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Organized Crime Squad, by and through Lt. Quintierra, warned two local college women that their website, announcing Alan Keyes' anti-Gay hate rally at the County-owned World Golf Village Convention Center -- they were falsely told this was "private property" and that they would be trespassers, that their website was inflammatory, and that they would be held personally responsible if someone else picketed or otherwise engaged in First Amendment protected activity.

The women were threatened with arrest simply for sharing information about the outrage of a homophobic hate rally on County government property, at no cost to the haters, whose homophobic hate rally was benefited by a 5-0 vote of County Commission to have the hate rally at the $16.9 million County-owned Convention Center at WGV for free.

Only Folio Weekly and the Collective Press reported on this outrage -- warning people that if they didn't stop criticizing the government -- the hate rally was at County government expense, by motion of hateful developer whore KAREN STERN -- the WRecKord didn't report the news.

It also happened that Lt. Quintiera and the Organized Crime Section harassed Gays and Lesbians at local beaches, telling people to leave simply for talking to one another.

It also happened that Lt. Quihtiera was involved in rousting a graduation party in West Augustine, where a baby was hospitlized with tear gas because of racist cops.

Now, check out the NPR article about the latest KGB-style law in Russia, where cops will be empowered to warn people they're about to commit a crime. Perhaps SHERIFF DAVID SHOAR f/k/a "DAVID HOAR" and MICHEL GOLD f/k/a "MICHAEL TOBIN" might wish to travel with Lt. Quintiera (there are apparently two of them, both brothers, and both Lieutenants) to Russia -- maybe they could take ex-Sheriff NEAL PERRY, too. One-way?

As always, Abraham Lincoln is instructive: As he wrote his friend, Josiah Speed, in 1855 about bigots who resemble today's Republicans and their past and present Sheriff (they called themselves the "know-nothings,"
"When the Know-Nothings get control, it [the Declaration of Independence] will read: 'All men are created equal except negroes, foreigners and Catholics.' When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretense of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocrisy."
-- Abraham Lincoln, letter to Joshua F Speed, August 24, 1855, from Albert J Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom
