City Commissioners are expected to approve today three grants for improvements in St. Augustine.
The Florida Inland Navigational District grant for $20,000 will allow city staff to remove two derelict vessels, including a 47-foot sailboat that ran aground in Salt Run.
A $10,000 grant from the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council will pay for another season of Concerts in the Plaza, a popular event in the downtown St. Augustine plaza.
And the third grant of $10,921 is from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The money will go toward more community policing and crime prevention programs.
The City Commission meets at 5 p.m. in the Alcazar Room at City Hall, 75 King St.
