In 2004, County Road Department Picked Election Day to Repave The Willie Gallimore Center Parking Lot

FOILED AGAIN -- Criminal CEO KEN LAY of ENRON being led away in handcuffs. (CONGRESSMAN JOHN MICA's political consultant, JAMES INNOCENZI, did millions of dollars of work for ENRON and the ROYAL KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, and more for Republicans and corporations, whose voter suppression efforts will not succeed in 2008). President Bush's nickname for KEN LAY was reportedly "KENNY BOY."

It happened here in Florida, in Ameria, on Election Day, 2004.

County road crews under supervision were repaving the parking lot at Lincolnville's only polling place.

Lincolnville Neighborhood Association President Peter Romano called St. Augustine Mayor George Gardner. Mayor Gardner made the county stop the repaving action.

This was apparently an intentional effort to suppress minority voting.

This is the kind of Jim Crow lawbreaking some of our local government officials love to perpetrate during elections here in St. Augustine and St. Johns County.

News for Repugs and thugs: we're watching you. Any voter suppression efforts will be criminally prosecuted. There will be zero tolerance for violators of the Fifteenth Amendment, which states:

Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

In the immortal words of Clint Eastwood ("Dirty Harry"): "Go ahead, make my day."
