MICA IS THE DECIDER, WHO DIDN'T EVEN ASK ST. AUGUSTINIANS BEFORE EARMARKING MONEY FOR TUNNEL

In yesterday's Orlando Sentinel, Seventh District U.S. CONGRESSMAN JOHN L MICA stated, "I get to say what projects [are funded], what the national policy is and to what level our state will receive federal return on transportation and gas tax dollars they send to Washington." He's the decider. He's the Boss of all, Republican Lord Weasel of All He Surveys, apparently.

In 2005, MICA decided St. Augustine should have a tunnel to cross the street by the Castillo de San Marco. WIthout asking anyone, even the City Manager, without an environmental impact statement, shyster MICA put funds in the federal budget.

What a guy!

MICA spends hundreds of thousands of dollars in "funny money" lobbyist PAC contributions on what would appear to be personal pleasures (ritzy restaurants, casinos and piano bars), while spending money on a tunnel for the Castillo San Marcos, without bothering to ask anyone what we think. It's our money.
