Thanks for all of your hard work Ed and your giving voice to the excluded and oppressed.

In my last comment below about Len Weeks, I mentioned that the 'Saint Augustine Wreckit' functions as an industry propaganda rag [Voice] for the high negative community impact tourism industry.

As such it reflects the viewpoints of the wealthy self anointed elite in the community, what I refer to as the sociopath (very small in number), fat red wallet faction. The fact that there is no real alternative street news source for the resident common folks (the majority thin blue wallet (and no wallet at all) faction), is indicative of how lopsidedly corrupt our government has become.

It also indicates that there is a real need in this community for a street publication oriented towards the resident common folks faction, especially as the battle between the quality of life desiring resident against the greedy cash register ka-ching desiring merchant escalates. Compounding this resident versus merchant struggle is the fact that a number of residents have been unwittingly sucked into the vortex of the high negative community impact tourism industry and so have conflicting allegiances.

Further compounding this resident versus merchant struggle is the fact that the more aggressive merchants have already fragmented the city residents with its installation of an easily controlled decentralized Neighborhood Associations system. The system serves to fragment and dissipate the energies of those who would complain about the particulars of high negative community impact tourism industry and those that would favor attracting to the community more socially beneficial lower impact industries that do not require commandeering the public commons and creating a low wage underclass and homeless population.

If we are to move forward in a positive direction in this so divided city (the Boles/Shaver vote, as small as it was, reflects the division) we must have a lot of frank and open discussion of the dual allegiance of some of our merchant residents; and, a lot of frank and open discussion about restructuring to one Neighborhood Association, free of corrupt government affiliation. ONE Neighborhood Association that serves a MERCHANT FREE body of residents.

Key to all of this is a reliable news source of information that will give voice to this (far greater in number) quality of life desiring resident faction.

I hope all of you voting believers in the 'system' magic of Nancy Shaver will pass this analysis along and urge her to recognize the disparities and create such a news source.

I also urge others to pass Ed's web site link along to others, or if you have a web site add a link to it.
