Solving Frequent Floods Requires Federal, State Help
St. Augustine was built on fill by Standard Oil monopolist Henry Flagler and his Flagler East Coast Railway. It will take a St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore Act and federal funds to solve the pandemic problem of flooding here.
