Conflict of interest?
Yes, our local governments -- including the City of Jacksonville, City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, and St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners -- have all hired and paid the same developer lawyer-lobbyist, T. MARTIN FIORINTINO, Jr., to lobby for them. FIORINTINO's developer clients profit from promiscuous clear cutting of our county and destroying our wetlands.
This stinks -- is it a blatant conflict of interest that requires criminal, civil and administrative investigations?
YOU BETCHA.
Lawyer-lobbyist-political fundraiser F. MARTIN FIORINTINO, JR. is simultaneously representing the City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County, St. Johns County Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, f/k/a "SHOAR," the City of Jacksonville, University of Florida Foundation and a veritable Who's Who of Corporate America, including the dodgy destructive devious developers destroying St. Johns County.
Among his clients are campaign contributors for whom he bundles, including large corporate landowners and development companies benefitting from sprawl and development including HUTSON COMPANIES, FLORIDA ROCK, VESTCOR, ST. JOE COMPANY, RAYONIER, FLAGLER DEVELOPMENT and the PARC GROUP (NOCATEE).
PARC GROUP/NOCATEE are venal corrupters with a fifteen-year history of dodgy deals: their demand to delete 40 acres of NOCATEE affordable housing from their Planned Unit Development was granted by unjust stewards at St. Johns County Commission, who receive contributions from PARC GROUP.
MARTIN FIORINTINO represents both PARC GROUP and St. JOHNS COUNTY -- a direct conflict of interest.
Yes, MARTIN FIORINTINO is louche lobbyist for both St. Johns County AND PARC GROUP.
This stinks.
Ask your City and County Commissioners about this outrage.
I have filed seven Open Records requests to local governments about their lobbyists, my request numbers 2016-312,313,314,316,317,318 & 319.
We have a Right to Know.
It's our money.
