Watch St. Augustine Neighborhood Council's 2016 Election Forum

Take 93 minutes to watch this excellent forum, with questions carefully and concisely asked -- thanks to John Versaggi, Melinda Rakoncay and others in the St. Augustine Neighborhood Council for helping to inform and enliven our City's election, helping us to restore democracy in a place long run by racist bigots and dictators, one that the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called "the most lawless city in America."

Watch 93 minute video -- helpful to deciding who to support for Mayor and Commissioner.
o Watch the arrogance of LEANNA FREEMAN, two-term incumbent, in defending her record, saying she doesn't like people criticizing her on the internet and saying why she wants to be re-elected.
o Watch the arrogance of KRIS PHILLIPS, WFOY hate radio station owner, who repeatedly refuses to answer questions and changes the subject (she wants to talk about Hurricane relief, not zoning, while mentioning that she is supported by Sheriff DAVID SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR."
o Watch the quiet competence, composure and compassion of Mayor Nancy Shaver, Vice Mayor Roxanne Horvath and challengers Susan Rathbone and Ronald Stafford, all of whom do their homework and answer questions.
We're blessed to live in this wonderful town -- please take 93 minutes and watch this video.

These fake and transparently deceptive forums (this one and the one discussed in the post above) with their pre-filtered questions — that serve to stifle real democracy, filter out the real concerns and passion of the public and validate and legitimize a corrupt system — rival PT Barnum's Feejee Mermaid for their duplicity.

"Nevertheless, Barnum realized that it wasn't important whether or not the mermaid was real. All that was important was that the public be led to believe that it might be real."

They should rightly be called Feejee Mermaid Forums.

As for the presentation; they have the same look and feel of a homogenized, stultifying and overly tedious junior high school student government forum.

They are an embarrassment to the public.

Better to ask someone to spend 93 minutes banging their heads against the wall rather than watch this disingenuous tripe.
