On April 15, 2025 St. Johns County Commissioners voted 3-2 to hire the law firm of ex-SENATOR ROBERT MILNER BRADLEY, JR. as St. Johns County Attorney. Under a separate company, OAK STRATEGIES, ex-SENATOR ROBERT BRADLEY is a lobbyist for at least one "world class" developer, FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT. https://www.floridalobbyist.gov/LobbyistInformation/LobbyistDetail/9280?year=2025&Branch=L
SJC BoCC should reconsider the contract.
Enough flummery, dupery and nincompoopery from other directed County Commissioners. "FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT brags on its website:
"FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT is a market leader in the ownership, management and development of world-class and unique gaming, hospitality, office, retail, residential, and mixed-use properties across the United States."
"FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT has evolved by expanding our scope beyond residential and commercial real estate to create legendary entertainment destinations, iconic hospitality landmarks, and luxury brands."
"Family legacy, sharp eye and profound insight of Jeffrey Soffer, alongside adept day-to-day leadership of Brett Mufson have built upon past achievements to create dazzling new world-class shopping, entertainment, businesses and brands in many of the world’s most prominent destinations. In doing so, "FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT sets its own highest benchmark for success."
Construction continues as 67-story luxury resort and casino destination remains on schedule for global debut on Las Vegas Strip in Q4 2023
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A partnership between Fontainebleau Development, a builder, owner, and operator of luxury hospitality, commercial, and retail properties, and Koch Real Estate Investments (KREI), the real estate investment arm of Koch Industries, has secured – with J.P. The financing, a monumental achievement for both companies following their joint acquisition of the property in 2021, keeps construction on schedule and paves the way for Fontainebleau Las Vegas to make its global debut in the fourth quarter of 2023.
“This is a milestone for Fontainebleau Las Vegas and stands as a testament to the tremendous dedication of our team and our partners at Koch Real Estate Investments,” says Fontainebleau Development President Brett Mufson. “We are eager to bring our iconic Fontainebleau brand – timeless beauty, unparalleled service, and innovative design – to the Las Vegas Strip.”
Fontainebleau Las Vegas spans 25 acres and nine million square feet in a coveted location on the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip directly adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, and will feature approximately 3,700 luxury hotel rooms, 550,000 square feet of customizable convention and meeting space, and a world-class collection of gaming, dining, retail, lifestyle, and health and wellness experiences.
“We would like to thank J.P. Morgan, SMBC, Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies, Goldman Sachs, Guggenheim, and VICI Properties for recognizing both the potential of this property and the expertise of those involved in its capitalization, design, and construction,” said Jacob Francis, president, Koch Real Estate Investments. “Securing $2.2 billion in financing in today’s market speaks to the widespread confidence in this project, and the team that’s come together to bring it to Las Vegas.”
The partnership was advised by Dustin Stolly and Jordan Roeschlaub of Newmark. Upon completion, Bowtie Hospitality LLC, a subsidiary of Fontainebleau Development, will be the sole operator of Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Additional information can be found at fontainebleaulasvegas.com.

Someone has friends or money or practices law or into politics therefore we shouldn't hire them. Brilliant. Let's pull some bum out of a drain pipe and give them an important job here in St Johns County government. That's the greatest idea I've ever heard of.
Mockery shows your weakness.
No background investigation on BGK. No background investigation on Oak Strategy. Fawning obeisance to Big Money. Two Commissioners asked questions, demanded answers and expected democracy. Three Commissioners failed to do their jobs. This stinks,
You gonna defame a company now and more people? Well done. Even though you've got nothing to give these people as part of damages settlement, I'm sure they'll come up with something punitive nonetheless. Go and get yourself a beggars cup and hit the streets. Bring all the people you've defamed at least a couple dollars.
Libel, slander, conspiracy theories, and bogus claims shows your dishonesty or mental incapacity. Without conscience or scruples you continue. No insight, no decency, no integrity, no nothing.
As the late U.S. Senator Walter Mondale once asked Senator Gary Warren Hart in a Democratic Primary presidential debate in 1984, "where's the beef?" Here's pestilential pestiferous pettyfogging tawdry tedious termagant "Pete" abusing legal terminology once again, unadorned by anything. Did they teach IRAC at TRUMP UNIVERSITY? Arguing with "Pete" is like dueling with an unarmed man. Trite tropes, cliches by the carload, empty impotent threats and snooty snobbery. Poor "Pete" -- "he can't help it, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth!" (With thanks and appreciation to the late great Texas Democratic Governor Ann Richards about President Bush)
Which company does perseverating paranoid "Pete" say I defamed now? President Harry S Truman once was asked about giving people Hell, and HST replied, "I just tell the truth and they think it's Hell."
FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT you've roped into some defamatory conspiracy theory...in which libelous accusations have been leveled... they should sue you, get an injunction, court ordered psychotherapy maybe a better idea because you don't seem to understand your own behavior very well. Plead senility!
Where's the beef? You tell me. Where's the proof and evidence for your claims? How do you figure you're completely protected from the defamation?
KOMANDO refused to list BGK's clients, but we found out about the SLAUGHTER BROTHERS tax fraud and workers compensation fraud case thanks to the Times-Union
KOMANDO demurely said to BoCC that he'd never represented a developer in all of his years of law practice.. But thanks to the Florida lobbying disclosure law, we now know that ex-Senator BRADLEY's lobbying clients include billionaire developers -- FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT.
And the fact that he represented clients and that you found that out means nothing. That's what attorneys do. And you making up some false narrative just because he represented clients before is certainly libel. And you doing so under the guise of protected speech related to government is a disgrace.
"Pete" is more incoherent than usual There was never a conflicts check because KOMANDO refused to disclose BGK's clients. Now we have a full list of ex-Senator ROBERT BRADLEY's clients, which includes a billionaire developer corporation. We had a Right to Know. Our rights as American citizens were violated. BRADLEY, GARRISON & KOMANDO, P.A. should resign as County Attorney.
Your rights weren't violated. The victimhood narrative, the bogus claims, the defamation, they should sue you for it all. You were unhappy that a certain person got appointed through democratic process and you acted out by making libelous accusations. He absolutely should not resign his because you don't like his friends or because he took certain cases or he is associated with certain business. That's your absurd standard. You aren't the only person on planet earth.
Thank God for Commissioner Ann Taylor, who asked KOMANDO for a list of BGK's clients during the period in which he was our County Attorney. Arrogant KOMANDO disrespected Commissioner Taylor. He said the list of his clients is private. False. Then we found out from the T-U that KOMANDO represented corporate criminals (SLAUGHTER BROTHERS) in federal court where they were convicted of federal crimes. KOMANDO said to BoCC in 2025 that he'd never represented developers. The simple palpitating truth of the matter is that his law partner, BRADLEY, has a lobbying firm that represents FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT, a billion dollar corporation. We had a Right to Know. BGK flunks the laugh test. BGK flunks the smell test. It's time for them to go.
If "Pete" would be so kind as to identify itself, we could explore, explain and question his ethics in repeatedly posting on this blog. As my late mentor, the late USDOL Chief Administrative Law Judge Nahum Litt (1979-1995) would advise me to ask, "Cui bono?" ("Who benefits?"). Is "Pete" a lawyer? Has he violated Florida Bar rules? Repeated accusations of "libel" in regulation for First and Ninth Amendment protected activity s beneath the dignity of a free people. "Pete" is a corporate shill, willing to say anything. Never signed his name. Pray for "Pete."
"Cui bono?" Check out who owns FOUNTAINEBLEAU DEVELOPMENT.
We had a Right to Know before SJC hired BGK.
"A public office is a public trust." --- Thomas Jefferson.
"PETE" SAID MY RIGHTS WERE NOT VIOLATED. Oh?
It doesn't matter who he knows or what cases he has taken man. That's just some BS to insinuate some kind of corruption that you don't have proof or evidence for. You get the proof for illegal activity or corruption, THEN you make the accusation. He should have given them NOTHING and then said take it or leave it. Hire someone else.
He's not in charge of voting up or down development. He's not on the commission. You got actual proof or evidence that someone benefited? Come back when you do!
He has a right to remain the county attorney now that he's been appointed by democratic process. Ed Slavin doesn't have a right to unilaterally remove him just because of some conspiracy theory that he has.
Yeah that's just another one of your exaggerated narratives that you use to gain a sense of validity and something to talk about. "Victims of democratic process" perhaps they should move to Russia or Iran.
"Pete" seemingly lacks a moral compass. Source, please, when it says, "He should have given them NOTHING and then said take it or leave it?" Sounds like Boulewareism. "Pete says, "Hire someone else." Yes we can! Yes we will! Neither "Pete" nor his keiretsu, nor his parents, nor their wealthy pals are in any position to defend what occurred in hiring BGK.
Once again, amoral "Pete" shows his flummery, dupery and nincompoopery, stating inter alia, "perhaps they should move to Russia or Iran." How many times does it repeat itself here? For what purpose? Not moving anywhere. We moved to SJC on November 5, 1999. Love this place, which my friend Isaac Henry Dean calls "God''s country." We're preserving our nature and democracy from the likes of pestiferous perseverating "Pete" and his oleaginous corporate oligarchs. Pray for "Pete."
You lack a moral compass.. making things up on people and suggesting that because you suspect things that means people shouldn't be appointed. Nothing more absurd than that. Senility your only defense against defamation suit.
Yeah you believe in things not backed by proof or evidence then you'll make claims not backed by proof or evidence. Too many of you do that. We've already discussed that.
"Pete" said, RICHARD CHRISTIAN KOMANDFO "has a right to remain the county attorney now that he's been appointed by democratic process. Ed Slavin doesn't have a right to unilaterally remove him just because of some conspiracy theory that he has.'" First sentence is false. No oligarch Divine Right to Kings to hold job awarded without a conflicts check, without a background investigation, and without answering question. Second sentence is freighted with animus. Not my "right to unilaterally remove" KOMANDO. Let the people decide, through our elected Commissioners, informed by the knowledge of BGK's refusal to answer Commissioner Ann Taylor's simple question. The fact is that BGK partner BRADLEY is the lobbyist for a mega-billionaire corporation (FOUNTAINBLEAU DEVELOPMENT). That fact was never disclosed. Wonder why? .
No king... appointment was democratic and you didn't like the outcome. At least make your bogus narratives somewhat coherent. Do you even realize that you're on the internet? You better get yourself some help before you get sued. Get a head doctor.
Huh? "Pete" sounds cranky.
Would "Pete" kindly identify himself please and explain his purported expertise?
"The right to remain County Attorney?" What is the legal expertise of this sock puppet?
Expertise is... obviously you make bogus claims and open yourself up to legal action but your irrelevance and lack of actual impact means nobody cares.
Yeah it's taken me hundreds of posts to get proof and evidence for your claims.. but instead I get irrelevant replies, name calling, spam repetitive posting, questions, more dishonesty, and even more bogus claims.
Yeah it's called they voted on it and you aren't a veto. You could have been on the commission but you blew it over something silly. Wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last. Credibility is in the toilet over a mountain of false claims and conspiracy theories.
