DeSantis Raises Money In N.J. On Sunday (New Jersey Globe)

Our pathetic, peripatetic, pathological Mini-Mussolini, Flori-DUH Governor RONALD DION DeSANTIS, was in New Jersey this past weekend with his bundlers and bagmen, raising money for a presumptuous race for President.

Florida governor makes 2nd fundraising trip to New Jersey in four months

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is in New Jersey today to raise money for his 2022 re-election campaign — his second fundraiser in the state since April.

DeSantis arrived in New Jersey on Sunday morning for a high dollar event in Deal hosted by real estate developer Joe Cayre.

Unlike 2014, when no GOP candidate would dare raise money in New Jersey without the permission of Gov. Christie Christie, potential 2024 presidential candidates no longer hesitate to cultivate donors in the Garden State.

He has already raised $626,254 from New Jersey-based donors, according to the Florida Department of State.

Four months ago, DeSantis raised money at the Moorestown home of Vernon Hill, the founder of Commerce Bank.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli, who attended the Hill event in April, was not in Deal for DeSantis’ fundraiser today.

Still, Democrats sought to link Ciattarelli to DeSantis, who has opposed the kind of Covid restrictions instituted by the Democratic incumbent, Gov. Phil Murphy.

“Ron DeSantis is clearly Jack Ciattarelli’s role model when it comes to mismanaging COVID-19 because they share the same unwillingness to take public health precautions, embrace of anti-vaxers and conspiracy theorists and eagerness to appeal to the most extreme far right elements of the Republican Party,” said Phil Swibinski, a spokesman for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee.

Swibinski said it was “telling” that Ciattarelli wasn’t at the DeSantis fundraiser in Monmouth County.

“Maybe Jack’s lies about children not being vulnerable to COVID-19 are too extreme even for America’s most notoriously pro-COVID governor,” he said.
