Thanks to Rep. MICA's brother the oil lobbyist, Governor Crist comes out of the closet as open-minded on offshore oil drilling

Sorry, Charlie. You said you were against offshore oil drilling when Florida elected you Governor. You now say you have an "open mind." See below. Evidnetly, ou want to destroy tourism just to placate Big Oil lobbyist DAVID MICA, the brother of Rep. JOHN MICA? Shame on you. You need a spinal implant. Your "open mind" is more like a sick mind -- one that would allow oil within ten miles of our beautiful beaches. Anyone who has seen Texas' beaches coated with oil and slime and trash knows you're wrong.

You're widely reported to be Gay and yet you supported an anti-Gay constitutional amendment. You've done nothing to advance the cause of Gay and Lesbian equality. Now you've married a woman, as if that would fool anyone (e.g., John McCain, who foolishly considered you as a VP candidate). As Lincoln said, "you can fool some of the people some of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can't fool all of the people all of time time."

If you run for re-election (or for Senator to succeed homophobic PBS&J-directed Senator Mel Martinez), there will be people throughout Florida asking about offshore oil drilling. How can you say you have an open mind when you said you were against it? It's not like you've changed your position on a minor issue -- this is an earthquake. This is morally wrong.

When Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, he and his Republican accomplices killed a little-known Congressonal agency called the Office of Technology Assessment, which gave advise on technological issues (like offshore oil drilling). Our Reprobate JOHN LUIGI MICA and other dull Republican stooges proclaim that offshore oil drilling is safe -- tell that to the people of Santa Barbara, California and Valdez, Alaska. Without OTA to analyze issues, you're just whistlin' Dixie (and taking Big Oil campaign contributors' word for it).

The AP has reported on Governor Crist's time records and they show you he does very little work as Governor. Perhaps Crist is one of the laziest Republicans in state government (except for his Lt. Governo). Evidently, he's too lazy to be consistent, or to meet with the people who would be affected by promiscuous offshore oil drilling within ten miles of Florida's coast, an abomination in the sight of God that would wreak havoc and a reign of ruin over Florida's tourism economy, destroying our beaches in the name of greed.

Sorry, Charlie. You're wrong again.
