Over on a local hate website masquerading as a "news" site, there's been incoherent commentary about "zombies" running our City visioning process, and attacking our City Manager's column submitted to the St. Augustine Record, before it is even printed.
Cui bono? (Who benefits?)
Bullies who hate change, hate diversity, and hate not calling all the shots.
Those one-percenters were against fixing ALL of Riberia Street in real time (as opposed to geologic time), against honoring civil rights heroes in our Slave Market Square, and were supportive of former City Manager WILLIAM BRUCE HARRISS' works and pomps, including illegal dumping in low-income and minority communities to "save money."
The rest of us wear the bullies' scorn as badge of honor.
The bullies had their turn. Now it's our turn.
We shall overcome!
