Nocatee to Get Law School Campus?

Ten of the forty acres that would have been used for affordable housing at the Nocatee Development of Regional Impact (DRI) may instead go to build a branch campus of Nova Southeastern University's Law School, located in Davie, Florida, which has produced a number of high-calibre graduates.

What do you reckon?

A Nova Southeastern University law school campus in our county might raise the bar for legal education and law practice in Northeast Florida (which is mostly dominated by good-ole-boy ad good-ole-gal graduates of Jacksonville's controversial, for-profit Coastal School of Law and Gainesville's  University of Florida).  A Nova Southeastern law school campus would attract law professors and students who might help confront the corruption in St. Johns County.  How cool is that?

On the other hand, Nova would not want to be in Nocatee -- it's run by damnable developers who are destroying our community values -- better to buy land elsewhere, without endorsing sub silentio, the racist policies of St. Johns County Commission and the Nocatee DRI, which erased 40 acres of affordable housing for the lucre of campaign cash from the PARC Group.
