SAVE THOSE NASTY PAC POLITICAL "POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE"

The St. Augustine Historical Society Research Library needs a complete set, for historic purposes, of the PAC postcards that The St. Augustine Record editorial rightly denounced October 30, 2016.

And Mayor Shaver would like to sponsor an art contest after the election.

Huh?

I love art contests, especially in a crooked city with tyrannical Jim Crow laws that ban street artists and have, as a result, caused many of them to flee the city and sent many others to early graves. How will they participate?

What an insensitive, offensive, slap in the face, contest proposal. It indicates how arrogant and insular the administrative class has become in Saint Augustine. A pox on Nancy Shaver!

How about a home building contest for all of the people this city has made impoverished and homeless? They can make signs on card board to ask the rich tourists for financial support to buy tools and materials.

Oh, but wait, they are forbidden to use signs on the greedy merchant sacred Saint George street to ask for help. And many of them, again as a result of these onerous and immoral self serving Jim Crow laws, are now dead.
