Goodnight, cupcake.

Say goodnight to St. Augustine Beach Commissioner ANDREA SAMUELS, defeated for re-election after being endorsed by Republican Sheriff DAVID SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR," who covered up the Michelle O'Connell case.

Sheriff DAVID SHOAR f/k/a "HOAR," gave her a $500 contribution and illegal Hatch Act violating endorsement on official letterhead.

ANDREA, we hardly knew ye.

ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH Commissioner ANDREA SAMUELS' last meeting as Commissioner was last night, December 12, 2016.

Once the rebarbative Republican Lord of All She Surveys at St. Augustine Beach, SAMUELS leaves no voters crying.

Hopefully, angry ANDREA will get the rest, therapy and retirement she deserves.

She was vanquished by 24-year resident Maggie Kostka, who promised civility and respect.

We're looking forward to Commissioner Maggie Kostka being a tribune of the people.

We're looking forward to discussing the St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore and a civil rights museum and other improvements without eye-rolling, insults and heckling from SAMUELS and her ornery husband, ROBERT SAMUELS.

Retiring Commissioner ANDREA SAMUELS had no cupcakes (her disgraceful behavior at the Undine George birthday last year gave SAMUELS the "cupcake" nickname for life).

ANGRY ANDREA was most noted for her abusive mistreatment of citizens, including William Rosenstock (former Code Enforcement Chair).

SAMUELS also had no cookies bearing her image (unlike conman JERRY CAMERON, whose County Commission cookies were slightly silly; CAMERON lost by seven votes to Paul Waldron in the August 28, 2016 primary).

SAMUELS did have a lovely generic "Congratulations" for your "service" sugary sheet cake, not bearing her name or image.

An awkward gaggle ate the cake.  Then SAMUELS left.  I said, "Goodnight, cupcake."
