ANNALS OF DeSANTISTAN: $1.5 million to lead a college with 698 students? | Commentary (Scott Maxwell, Orlando Sentinel, October 17, 2023)

My mother warned me, "Republicans never steal anything small." New College's new President is former Florida Speaker of the House RICHARD CORCORAN. New College's new General Counsel is former Florida State Senator William. Galvano. Both unqualified, both overpaid, both Dull Republicans.

This is corrupt political patronage by our boorish baby talking Boy Governor, RONALD DION DeSANTIS, our former Congressman from St. Johns County, 2013-2018, an alien implant from KOCH INDUSTRIES, duly endorsed by feculent fellow fascist DONALD JOHN TRUMP,

$1.5 million to lead a college with 698 students? | Commentary

The former president of New College had a salary of $305,000. But as soon as Gov. Ron DeSantis’ appointees put former Former Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran in charge, they boosted the job’s base pay to $699,000 -and about $1 million with perks and benefits. Now they’re talking about raising it to as much as $1.5 million - at a school with just 698 students. (AP Photo/Rebecca Blackwell)

This is plain corruption and inappropriate political activity. Where is the DOJ on this and many other things that these hogs are doing these days? These sick pigs are out of control here.

Conservative ideology dictates, among other things, that society and social institutions should pave the way forward and not government. But once they figure out that those institutions and systems aren't going the way they would have them go, they abandon this stance and attempt to use government to interfere with things. So you see "the politics of delay" is a scam to sabotage and obstruct government when they aren't getting their way but use political power and government when they want to change things about social institutions that they don't like or prevent things from changing in a direction they don't like. So conservatism is mostly a scam, an obstruction game, a shell game, and they've normalized dereliction as a political tactic.
