The late Senator Howard Henry Baker, Jr. on the U.S. House of Representatives

"Two things in the world I don't understand: the Middle East and the House of Representatives. "

So said the late Howard Henry Baker, Jr., scion of two East Tennessee coal barons -- his mom and dad  both served in the House of Representatives.  Former coal company lawyer Howard Baker was U.S. Senate Republican Leader, and later Ronald Reagan's Chief of Staff, and Ambassador to Japan.

Remember Howard Henry Baker's bon mot words of wisdom as we contemplate the devastation wrought by thick hick hack arachnid apparatchiks, who appear to be loyal to DONALD JOHN TRUMP, and his appalling election-denying 1/6 ideology of insurrectionism.

Pray for them.

Somewhere on Capitol Hill, Howard Baker's spirit is laughing at these laughingstocks.

His example during Watergate still mostly shines through history -- Howard Henry would be asking about TRUMP during upcoming trials, "What did the President know and when did he know it?"
