In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

Still No Reply or Photograph from PHILLIP J. MAYS, the "LIFELONG REPUBLICAN" SUPPORTED BY WASTE MANAGEMENT, KAREN STERN, MARK MINER, SHOAR & PERRY
There's still no reply from or photograph from PHILLIP J. MAYS, the "LIFELONG REPUBLICAN" supported by the likes of WASTE MANAGEMENT, ex-Commissioner KAREN STERN, her pet goober MARK MINER, Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, ex-Sheriff NEIL PERRY, among other Republican poohbahs.
It seems that the Republican Executive Committee's "endorsement" of MAYS may have been without precedent or notice to its members.
What's a little parliamentary procedure among friends? St. Johns County Repug thugs know no ethics. They know no boundaries. They want every single office in every single government entity -- they're prepared to lie, cheat, steal elections, consolidate governments and do everything else for authoritarian mind-numbing control.
Plug-ugly St. Johns County Repug-thugs are control freaks, authoritarians and miscreants. These know-nothings like to tell Democrats what to think, keep our news out of newspapers, tell us where we can campaign (even on government property). They like to steal our signs and steal our votes. We St. Johns County Democrats remember 2000 and 2004 and 2008 and what local crooks did in terms of intimidating minority voters -- you will never get away with it again, and we look forward to the Justice Department Civil Rights Division and the FBI investigating all of your crimes, works and pomps.
When you ripoff consumers together, ripoff taxpayers together, kill wetlands together, clearcut forests together, discriminate together, and push your way around St. Johns County, being Republican means "never having to say you're sorry."
Which is why we do not wait with baited breath for Governor Crist to apologize for PHILIP J. MAYS' amateurish appointment to replace Commissioner TOM MANUEL, even on a temporary basis. Even the forms used by Governor CRIST suggest Amateur Hour -- this is evidence of a political patronage regime and not a meriocrracy.
