A June 4, 2009 filing by the City of St. Augustine and lawyers for the visual artists reports that settlement negotiations may resolve the case in the next one to two weeks.
The City and the artists have agreed to save on legal fees by postponing a deadline for mandatory disclosure of documents in the case.
A federal judge has already ruled for the visual artists and ordered the City to stop arresting artists under City Ordinance 22-6.
