Do we need to elect our County Attorneys and City Attorneys in Florida?

Too often, Florida City Attorneys and County Attorneys work for the Commissioners and not for the people. This is self-evident. Some count to three instead of doing legal research and providing legal advice without fear or favor Some are owned by developers. Some run interference and throw up roadblocks to Open Records requests. Some facilitate Sunshine violations through illegal "polling."
Do we need to elect our City Attorneys and County Attorneys? What do you reckon?
