Later school start date saves money on power bills: VCB lobbying is ineffectual and goofy!

Reading $150,000/year government-funded VCB CEO and Executive Director RICHARD GOLDMAN's e-mail (below) is a lesson in how NOT to do grass roots lobbying. I cringed when I read his self-aggrandizing narcissistic e-mail.
The school start date issue is simple: schools save money on electric energy if they start after Labor Day. Even Texans, who know both energy and big money, appreciate that nuance. http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/pearland-news/article/Texas-schools-later-start-means-big-savings-on-1780115.php
Rather than making it tourism vs. education (a false dichotomy), the schools and tourist employers should unite with environmental and good government groups to combat the massive government subsidy to FPL and other monopolists.
We can save billions of dollars.
If I were a tourism industry manager, I would not want RICHARD GOLDMAN anywhere near Tallahassee. He's gauche and louche. Read below.
