MORE DELAY IN $702,771 EMBEZZLEMENT TRIAL OF SHERIFF's OFFICE FINANCE DIRECTOR RAYE ANNETTE BRUTNELL

RAYE BRUTNELL, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Finance Director, won another delay in her trial.

Charged with embezzling at least $702,771 from 2011-2018, BRUTNELL is represented by attorney Hank Coxe, former Florida Bar President and former Jacksonville Bar President.

In a short motion, filed September 16, 2019, Coxe requested his client's. trial be postponed or "continued" from November to December, stating the State's Attorney office did not oppose it. Circuit Court Judge Howard M. Maltz granted the motion in writing on September 17, 2019.

The motion was based on ongoing discussions with third parties. Who might they be? FBI? Insurance or bonding companies?

No hearing was held on the motion.

The next event scheduled is a December 3, 2019 1:30 pm pretrial conference, with no date set yet for jury selection.  BRUTNELL was arrested November 20, 2018 after Bank of America employees noticed that a vendor check was deposited in BRUTNELL's account.  All of the other checks were deposited into phony front accounts of dummy companies.

The real dummies are the good people of St. Johns County, who elected corrupt Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, who legally changed his name from "HOAR" in 1994, and thinks he is Republican Lord of All He Surveys, covering up homicides of Michelle O'Connell and Eli/Ellie Washtock, doling out favors to developers, ordering around County Commissioners and threatening them with letter grades, obtaining a $2 million FBI commitment for a shooting range, shooting his mouth off like a Dixieland honkytonk racketeer loon, a combo of Archie Bunker, Donald John Trump and a character from The Godfather.

Watching the career of DAVID SHOAR since we moved here in 1999 is not unlike watching a duck fornicate with a football. His sleazy smarminess, his efforts to put on airs of being an intellectual, while violating civil and constitutional rights, are a stench in the nostrils of the Nation.

Delighted that he's not running for office again -- We, the People ran him off.

But the denouement must be his indictment, arrest and conviction, as was the case with Anderson County, Tennessee Sheriff DENNIS O. TROTTER, who once called me "the most dangerous reporter I ever met in my entire life."

Racketeers like SHOAR deserve federal prison, not $2 million largesse and other lagniappes from the FBI.  SHOAR picked a friendly fellow Sheriff to investigate, and another State's Attorney, rather than referring the case to FDLE and FBI.  This is not recusal.  It is corruption run riot.
