This Pennsylvania businessman and his companies allegedly contributed $8000 to HUNTER SINCLAIR CONRAD, now St. Johns County Administrator, intending it as a bribe. CONRAD was "Clerk E" in the 2019 indictment, a fact covered by some GANNETT papers but not the incredible shrinking record until February 2020, when this blog reported it.
HUNTER CONRAD quit as Clerk of Court and was hired as County Administrator without the people of St. Johns County ever having been informed by their putative hometown newspaper of the indictment.
Sentencing is January 21, 2022.
Does plea deal require DONAGHER's cooperation in other possible cases, to help USDOJ show the explicit quid pro quo, which federal judge found missing in the dismissal of several counts of the indictment? Will federal judge consider dismissed count facts, or other uncharged overt acts, in sentencing, as allowed in federal criminal cases? Will DONAGHER help in other possible prosecutions?
