Feds pay Florida $608M for Alligator Alcatraz day before government shutdown (Ana Goñi-Lessan, St. Augustine Record, October 2, 2025)

Believe it or Not!  Under federal procurement regulations, how can the federal government possibly pay $608,000,000 without verification?  No-bid contracts.  Environmental law violations. Human rights violations.  This situation stinks.  From USA TODAY NETWORK:

They'll shell out all kinds of money for concentration camps, the police state, and security agencies, but they'll fight tooth and nail against universal healthcare and things that would make all the former less needed.
