SJC Must Halt Lawbreaking; Cancel Demolition Permit; Stop Sunshine Violations; Saving Our Cherished Historic Magic Beach Motel from Demolition

September 28, 2025 Ed Slavin e-mail to St. Johns County Commissioners:

Dear St. Johns County Commission Chair Krista Keating-Jpseph, SJC BoCC Vice Chair Clay Murphy, Commissioners Ann Taylor, Christian Whitehurst, and Sarah Arnold:
1. At the August 5, 2025 St. Johns County Commission meeting, Commissioners were abruptly told  the historic Magic Beach Motel in Vilano Beach would soon be demolished, derailing our Cutural Reousres Review Board's work.

2. At the August 5, 2026 County Commision meeting, citizens were forbidden the right to speak in response to this report.  
3. SJC broke the law, 
4. SJC must respect our  rights, from this day forward..  
Protecting our sacred First Amendment rights: please delete unconstitutional language from SJC Rule 4.04; Urgent F. 119 & 119.0701 request



STOP First Amendment violations by St. Johns County Authoritarians. NOW.




5. Please vote to vacate the unseemly, secretive demolition permit for Magic Beach Motel..
6. Please vote to vacate the illegal April 15, 2025 hiring as putative St. Johns County Attorney of RICHARD CHRISTIAN KOMANDO and his conflicted corporate law firm,  BRADLEY, GARRISON & KOMANDO, P.A.  
7. Please vote to set the October 13, 2025, December 8, 2025 and any and  all future meetings of our Cultural Resources Review Board in our County Auditorium, with live streaming video.

These counties want to complain about the state and federal government doing x,y,z and undercutting their autonomy, all while they vote for those who do these things and of course outside entities are gonna swoop in and "do things for people" if you're aren't taking the initiative to do them yourself. Housing, food assistance, and healthcare are good examples.
