One corpulent criminal defendant charged with election fraud -- former City of St. Augustine Beach Mayor and current Commissioner DYLAN RUMRELL -- owns SOUTHERN CROSS CONSULTING, LLC, a public affairs development and lobbying company, whose corporate lawyer is RICHARD RUMRELL, DYLAN RUMRELL's father.
At least DYLAN RUMRELL wasn't afraid to show his face.

First Of Three St. Johns Officials Charged In Voter-Guide Case Appears In Person

St. Augustine Beach Commissioner Dylan Rumrell became the first of three sitting St. Johns County elected officials charged in the voter-guide case to appear in person at a public meeting Thursday.
Rumrell returned to the dais for a special City Commission meeting after missing the panel’s first regular meeting following the filing of the charges.
Neither Rumrell nor his fellow commissioners addressed the case during Thursday’s meeting.
Rumrell faces misdemeanor counts of conspiracy and distributing an unauthorized voter guide.
St. Johns County Commissioners Christian Whitehurst and Sarah Arnold face the same charges.
Whitehurst and Arnold participated remotely in a recent County Commission meeting rather than attending in person.
The panel voted to send a letter to Gov. DeSantis requesting that they be suspended pending the outcome of the case.
Both have indicated that they do not intend to resign.
Rumrell, who enjoyed a popular run as St. Augustine Beach mayor, has made no indication that he plans to leave his seat on the Commission.
The case centers on political mailers distributed shortly before early voting began in August 2024.
Authorities allege the mailers were designed to resemble official St. Johns County Republican Party voter guides but included candidates who had not received the party’s endorsement.
