NIXON sent his aide, Herb Klein, to read a canned prepared tatement.
NIXON never called and congratulated President-elect John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
JFK reportedly said of Nixon and his crew, "They had no class going in and no class going out." (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr., A Thousand Days). Mayor JOSEPH LESTER BOLES, Jr, never called Mayor-Elect Shaver.'

When Mayor Shaver was sworn in as Mayor on December 1, 2014, departing City of St. Augustine Mayor JOE BOLES did not even shake Mayor Shaver's hand.
Stiffed her.
Acted snooty.
Hostile.
Haughty.
Like the deposed dictator that he was,
No class.
No grace.
Unprofessional.
Longtime Florida lawyer BOLES refused to shake new Mayor Shaver's hand in the presence of Florida Supreme Court Justice Peggy Quince, who swore in Mayor Shaver.

In August 2022, Gold Star Mother Krista Keating-Joseph was elected County Commissioner (District 4) by some 175 votes, defeating incumbent JEREMIAH RAY BLOCKER. (BLOCKER is now a lawyer for developers. BLOCKER earned a Master of Laws degree from the University of Miami in "Real Estate Development." It shows.
On August 18, 2026, Krista Keating-Joseph was re-elected to County Commission.
One million dollars was spent on television advertising and "Postcards from The Edge" seeking to mock, malign, lie and cheat the people out of representation.
Since Election Night 2026, Commissioner Krista Keating-Joseph has apparently received not one single call from any of her two (2) opponents.
They were Sam Williams and James Austin Galloway.
No class.
No grace.
No manners.
On August 18, 2026, Martin Valerian Pyszczymuka was elected to County Commission (District 2).
Since Election Night 2026, our new Commissioner-elect Martin Valerian Pyszczymuka has apparently received not one single call from his three opponents.
They were Heather Brofford, Tim Burres and Will McMullan.
No class.
No grace.
No manners.
Funded by dirty corporate "dark money," these five other-directed candidates did not congratulate the winners.
But some of their sibilant supporters whined abut the results on Facebook.
