Let me help you -- Ed Slavin for Anastasia Mosquito Control District of St. Johns County

For me, public service has always been personal.

My late father was an 82nd Airborne paratrooper who helped liberate France on D-Day. He survived malaria, a mosquito-borne disease, after being bitten by a mosquito in Sicily.  My Father taught me that when powerful interests abuse their position, good people have a responsibility to stand up and speak out.

That lesson stayed with me throughout my career investigating government waste and corruption.

Here in St. Johns County, I’ve spent years advocating for taxpayers and government accountability. One example was helping stop a $1.8 million no-bid helicopter purchase by the Mosquito Control District — saving taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I believe government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on its core mission: protecting public health and serving the people.

Mosquito-borne diseases remain a serious issue, and we need leadership that prioritizes both effective mosquito control and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

I would be honored to earn your vote for the Anastasia Mosquito Control District Commission, seat 2.
